Une Mobilisation Impressionnante pour l’Environnement
Le samedi 6 juillet, la Société d’Aménagement et de Promotion des Côtes et Zones Touristiques du Sénégal (SAPCO-Sénégal) a démontré son engagement pour la protection de l’environnement lors de la deuxième édition de la journée de nettoyage « Setal sunu reew ». Cette initiative, lancée par les autorités de l’État, a vu une forte mobilisation des équipes de la SAPCO-Sénégal venues de Dakar et des délégations régionales. L’événement, organisé par l’Unité pour la gestion environnementale et sociale (UGES) avec l’appui technique de la direction de l’exploitation de Saly, a été salué par le Directeur général Serigne Mamadou Mboup.
Un Effort Concerté pour la Propreté de Saly
La SAPCO-Sénégal, bras technique de l’État en matière d’aménagement touristique, a répondu à l’appel du chef de l’État, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, en déployant des moyens considérables pour nettoyer la station touristique de Saly. Dès les premières heures de la matinée, les équipes de la SAPCO-Sénégal, accompagnées de la Sonaged et d’autres partenaires, ont passé au peigne fin la zone boisée à l’entrée de la station touristique. Cette opération a permis de redonner un nouvel éclat à Saly, récemment dotée de matériel de nettoyage adapté.
Une Opération de Grande Envergure
Selon Serigne Mamadou Mboup, cette journée était dédiée au nettoyage et au ramassage des déchets solides dans la zone boisée, ainsi qu’à l’extraction des déchets enfouis dans les fonds marins, dont la quantité est considérable. La SAPCO-Sénégal a utilisé des moyens importants pour mener à bien cette tâche, illustrant son engagement pour un environnement propre et sain. Cette initiative s’inscrit dans le cadre de la « Gestion durable de l’environnement adaptée aux effets néfastes des changements climatiques ».
Appel à des Comportements Écoresponsables
Face à la presse, le Directeur général a exprimé sa gratitude envers les partenaires de la SAPCO-Sénégal, la mairie de Saly et tous les acteurs présents. Il a insisté sur l’importance de maintenir la station balnéaire propre et sécurisée, appelant les citoyens à adopter des comportements écoresponsables. La journée a également été marquée par une activité de plongée, au cours de laquelle un important lot de déchets solides a été extrait des fonds marins avec l’aide de la Direction de la gestion et de l’exploitation des fonds marins.
Un Rendez-vous Mensuel pour l’Environnement
Les acteurs du secteur du tourisme ont vivement apprécié cette opération de nettoyage. Ils se sont donnés rendez-vous le mois prochain pour continuer à rendre la station touristique de Saly encore plus rayonnante. Cette mobilisation exemplaire de la SAPCO-Sénégal et de ses partenaires démontre une fois de plus l’importance de l’engagement collectif pour la préservation de l’environnement et le développement durable du secteur touristique au Sénégal.
